THE LIVING ENVIRONMENT
Wolf Hollow Shepherds Farm, LLC. is located on five acres in Manitou, KY. (pop. 1200). Our dogs live in excellent conditions with a running pen, dog houses for each, and we keep the entire pens straw-filled in the winter. They are worked with daily and are taken on long hikes on a weekly basis. Once bitch goes into labor, she is brought into our home until the pups are 8 weeks.

The most critical time in a pups life is between 6-8 weeks of age. This is the time period when their behavioral growth is instrumental to the dog’s future and their lifetime behavior is contingent upon this age, so they are handled constantly. This is also the time when individualized temperments can be assessed to determine if the animal is more suited as a working dog classification or a home environment.
