"No good German Shepherd dog is a bad color"
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE NO HEALTH, GENETIC, OR TEMPERAMENT PROBLEMS
IN A GERMAN SHEPHERD
JUST BECAUSE OF ITS COLOR!!THESE ARE ALL SIMPLY DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF COAT
COLORS & PATTERNS!
White is disqualified by AKC, but is accepted by UKC. White GSDs are also
Recognized as "White Shepherds" with UKC, FCI, and in many other clubs
around the world.
Blues & livers are major faults with AKC & UKC, but are disqualified because
their nose pigment is not black.
Long-coats are also faults with AKC & UKC, but fully accepted by AWSA. More
plush-type coats are preferred in most clubs.
The German Shepherd Dog varies in color, and most colors are permissible.
Strong rich colors are preferred. Pale, washed-out colors and blues or
livers are serious faults. A white dog must be disqualified.
