Obedience should be done with all breeds of dogs to help to keep them under control at all times. Anything from just basic pet obedience to obedience competitions, to working trials, Schutzhund competitors, and especially police dogs HM Prison dogs service and operational security dogs.

 

All obedience should be fun and enjoyable for both dog and handler. There are many sub-standard dog trainers be careful as most of these should not be allowed near dogs. Making the right choice is very difficult and my advice would be to go around and see different trainers, see how happy there dogs are whilst doing obedience.
