Having grown up with dogs and horses all my life, I purchased my first German Shepherd Dog - ‘Axel’ when I was 18 years old, He was sired by Mutz De Los Porches - a Frei vom Holtkamper See son (Canto von der Wienerau). I concentrated mainly on competition obedience but also showed him. A few years later I purchased two Lando Van Noort females (Grimm vom Lehmbachtal - Lasso di val Sole - Quanto von der Wienerau) from the Wenden Kennel, and that’s where I got started...

I choose the prefix/affix ‘Karlsruhe’ as this was the place in Germany where SV dog no.1 - Horand von Grafrath was spotted and purchased by Captain Max von Stephanitz and subsequently won first place in 1899.
