Zwinger vom Roten Wald German Shepherds

We are Karen and Wallace Wolff. Our German shepherd dog kennel, Zwinger vom Roten Wald, is located in the East Bay Area of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California.

In 1998 we imported our first foundation female German Shepherd, Halla vom Stieglerhof.  She began our breeding program of excellent dogs for show, schutzhund and family pets.

Our goal has always been to breed the best dogs and breed according to the World Standard of German Shepherds and Germany holds the rules for the standard through their registry, Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde  We take great measure to breed to improve the quality of the breed; looking at pedigree, health, conformation, workability and hip and elbow ratings. 

Our location in the East Bay Area provides many opportunities to train our dogs and to present the dogs in "trials" and shows.  Menlo Park Schutzhund Club, Dublin Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club, Alameda County Schutzhund Club, Peninsula Canine Corps and San Jose German Shepherd Dog Club are the clubs within a half hour driving time.
